Made it to the glacier and what a sight it was ... I made a friend while walking to the water's edge .. not really. There was this bear which decided to walk across the road about ten feet behind me. It did not seem to care that all of the people were in its area ... it just kept on walking out of sight. Thanks to my wife for being quick to snap the picture of the bear.
Cold and light rain today ... the heavier coats purchased on the ship augmented our ensemble nicely.
In the visitors center, they had a piece of the glacier ice for all to touch. The sign stated we were looking at 2000 year old ice. In the building, the ice was crystal clear. Outside, we saw tinges of blue ... see the first picture above with the berg floating in front of the glacier.

The whale quest was awesome. The food served on the ship was very good and the whale sightings were off the charts. In the pictures above, the first two are pictures of two different whales. The last four are of the same whale jumping out of the water. What can I say, one cannot see anything like this at Canyon Lake.
